Fly Flatts/Mixenden reservoir, evening visit
Fly Flatts 1700-1830 hrs cool NE>5 Heavy showers.
Quite lively at Fly Flatts this evening but disappointingly nothing new passing through or on the water, this was,nt helped by the NE wind and very heavy showers.
Snipe and Golden Plover were calling and curlews were putting up a good display.
In contrast to an excellent season last year Short Eared Owls seem very thin on the ground.
Mixenden reservoir on the return journey was very quiet.
