Bradshaw Ring Necked Parakeet. Saturday.
Getting a bit scraggy looking in the wet weather
Late Saturday afternoon and a trip to Soil Hill aborted due to heavy rain and low cloud so it was just down to Bradshaw to check the Parakeet situation.
After half an hour stand in pouring rain the bird finally appeared and the weather began to improve slightly so a few pics at 600mm were possible. apart from its one quick visit to the feeders the rest of the time it just settled in a distant tree. Also present to see the bird this afternoon were AT and JL.
Birds also present around the feeders were
Chaffinch
Goldfinch
Greenfinch
Linnet
Coal Tit
Blue Tit
Great Tit
Collared Dove
Mistle thrush
Blackbird
Wood Pigeon
Starling
