Fly Flatts 0615-0945 hrs.

A good start at Fly Flatts with my ideal conditions of light drizzle with 100 % cloud cover on a WSW>3 and low cloud base but by 0830hrs it all went pear shaped with blue skies and sunshine.
A minimum of 18 Wheatear were spread along the south shoreline along with several Meadow Pipits.
The water was quiet with just the usual sp and no waders present.
2 Lapwings were mobile and a calling Curlew was a surprise to see drop in by the water briefly.
4 Kestrels were in the air together having a dog fight over the west bank joined briefly by a Merlin which left over the moor.
2 Willow Warblers were in the solitary tree brought down by the mist whilst LBB gulls and Swallows moved through.
Good to meet Dave Brotherton up there and have a natter.
