Back to the patch, Fly Flatts evening visit.

               3 Common Sandpipers present

With the idea of, its August, anything can happen, it was the weekends third attempt at Fly Flatts late afternoon.
The wind had increased to S>5 with bright sunshine, not the best of wader conditions as well as much disturbance with the wind surfers who were just packing up.
Luckily for me there was no sign of the SEOs so I could do a thorough search of the area without distraction.
A single Dunlin flushed from one of the ponds and disappeared quickly on the east shoreline whilst 3 Common Sandpipers were moving around the north shore.
This mornings Mallard and 2 well grown young were out riding the waves and 3 Wheatear were on the wall tops.
Any substantial rain this coming week and the shoreline will be gone.
