Raptor skies over Foxhill this evening
Some interesting cloud formation
A check on Swalesmoor this evening with bright blue skies and a light SSE>2 produced very little to excite me which can be expected during June, especially in the hot stuff.
Several Swallows and Swifts were overhead feeding very high up whilst the usual good numbers of Corvids were squabbling with each other.
Around 12 Linnets were near the ski slope but very mobile along with a flock of about 15 Goldfinch heading up towards Ringby Top.
A Song Thrush was singing down Lee Lane and a kestrel hovered over the hillside.
Getting several reports of a lack of breeding Blue Tits around the area lately with many regular boxes deserted. This ,I have heard, is a shortage of caterpillars due to the poor weather during May.
Even the nest box by the garage car park remains empty, the first time for several years.
