Raggalds Flood thawed out and holding Lapwing
Another half light check this late p.m. in a strong SSW>5 and heavy rain giving me my second drenching of the day.
Shelf Moor held 9 Lapwing and around 50 Starling with the resident Heron moving off to roost towards Shibden Valley. Several small gulls were in surrounding fields and a flock of 14 Fieldfare headed for Green Lane.
Raggalds Flood was nicely thawed out and brimming with water attracting, 2pr Mallard , 8 Lapwing,
3 Common gull, 7 Black Headed gulls and 1 Pied Wagtail.
At least next Sunday is the shortest day and we will slowly see the days start to lengthen.
