Raggalds Flood, high tide
Getting a bit crowded
Pot of gold down the old station
Decide to sacrifice my last hour of the weekend on Ogden which turned out to be not one of my better ideas.
The wind still blew and the frequent showers were heavy and the birds were scarce.
No sign of Johns Common Sandpiper and the 2 Goosanders had moved on leaving 6 Canadas, 1 LBB and Mallards on the water.
The Mallard that had 14 ducklings a week ago had got down to 2 yesterday, courtesy of the local Heron and/ or Mink and today she was at the north end with one and I found the other one well out in the water off the promenade looking very lost and vulnerable.
Otherwise it was down to a few singing but invisible Willow Warblers, Robins etc.
Back at the flood the water had receded slightly from this morning and just held 2 Canadas, 2 drake Mallards and 2 Woodpigeons.
