Raggalds Flood/ Old Guy Rd

Raggalds Flood, there it was gone
Sun going down over the cricket pitch
                                           Old Guy Rd cricket pitch
                                          Last light
             Distant Wheatears on the pitch

Raggalds Flood was deserted and dry this morning but the ground remains boggy and a good rainy period will bring it back to life.
A dog walk down Old Guy Rd tonight in an icy cold W>5 found 3m and 2 f Wheatears on and around the pitch keeping under the shelter of the wall away from the wind along with 1 Skylark and 5 Meadow Pipits.

Looking grim on the birding scene this Easter with work tomorrow to get some hours back then Leeds hospital Saturday morning, Bradford hospital Sunday morning but so far a clear day Monday.
Only 8 trips to Leeds left now thankfully with Lynda suffering from every side effect possible.

NE Gas at Queensbury in Black Dyke Mills yard asked me through a customer what were the Yellow birds that kept landing on their car wing mirrors , answer being a pair of Grey Wagtails.
