Going for the easy target
A murky grey Ogden
Male Goldeneye still present
With thick fog on all the hill top venues it was down to Ogden which was just below the cloud base but grey and damp with rain showers..
Passerines were lively with all the usual woodland species up singing, greatly outnumbered with Robins, although all the continentals see to have left now.
2 Song Thrush were busy nest building and Long Tailed Tits are now showing and carrying nest material.
A quick glimpse of a Nuthatch as it flew from the usual tree was all I managed and the male Goldeneye was on the water along with 1 Canada goose and the usual Mallards.
A Sparrowhawk skimmed across Ned Hill in front of the car.
At least 2 Curlews were heard from the Back Lane area so thats got to be a good sign.
