Redwings, Fieldfares and Gannets !

A milder day, still with a strong N>5 starting with low cloud and drizzle up here on the hilltop village of Queensbury.
All was quiet until around 1015hrs when the floodgates opened and Redwings started pouring through >W slightly higher than yesterdays flocks.
Constant texting to HC at Oxenhope showed he was getting the same, as well as DJS at Hunter Hill.
This move lasted about 1 hour then after a short lull Fieldfares started to come through in good numbers all >W then changing slightly to >WNW.
By around 1145hrs the tap was turned off and all was quiet with empty skies at lunch time again over Foxhill, I think I,ll have to start taking my dinner break at 0800hrs when the activity is on.
Suddenly in the afternoon text messages started coming in with reports of Gannets around the area with 15 circling Lower Gorple ( KM ) and a single juv over Northowram (AC) with a report from DCB saying that Gannets were all over the inland north.

Lets hope the action continues over the weekend.
