Queensbury Today.

Another hot sticky day not helping the migration cycle at all although gulls were moving well around midday very high, some nearly out of sight.
The majority were LBBs although 6 Common gulls were in Foxhill park at tea time, the start of them arriving to over winter here with the local flock building up to about 70.
A good time to watch just now is around 2100hrs at last light when large V formation flocks are coming over moving from the fields to their roosting ground.
Pipistrelle bats are reaching good numbers over the park at last light feeding over the trees.
A quick check on Shelf Moor this evening produced 8 Lapwing in the trailer field along with 3 Pied Wagtails whilst a Tawny Owl was calling near the Lion Gates. Swallows are grouping on wires now ready for the move.
