House Martins back in Queensbury

A bird that is now rare to Queensbury after being a common nester for several years is finally starting to drift back although these birds are probably just passing through.
Three House Martins were feeding over Foxhill at midday today with another 6 at their old site at Russell Rd this tea time and 4 around the mill chimney this evening.
House Martins used to nest every year on the bungalows behind our house until pvc fascias were introduced and since then nothing.
This is not just a local thing but, along with Sand Martins, seems to be a general decline.
Yesterdays Willow Warblers have now moved on and other than LBB and BHG gulls the skies have been quiet.
