Received a letter today from Yorkshire Water and a phone call previously regarding access to Warley Moor reservoir ( Fly Flatts).
They have now confirmed that there is no public access to the reservoir grounds from the Halifax south end but access is still permitted from the Oxenhope north end which is still classed as designated access land which seems strange as they lead to the same area.
However, Twite feeding seems to be frowned on in the reservoir grounds and I have been asked to supply a map showing them the Twite feeding area . So, as to keep the band in the nick , I will now be putting the seed down near the original area but through the gateway on the path leading to Castle Carr so it will only be 30 yards or so from the current spot but through the gate and off YW s land.
Another stonking day with summer type temperatures and wall to wall sunshine. Unfortunately another busy working day and shopping evening so birding had to take a back seat.
Only thing of note was good numbers of Swallows on the wires through Bradshaw this evening.
