A deserted Lapwing/ Snipe/ Wheatear field.
Corporal Lane Lapwing site, few gulls hanging on.
From now, attempting to check Tracys Wheatear field one lunch time each week to try pick up an early Wheatear although it was April 15th last year when 21 birds were present there.
Today the field was deserted apart from a few Carrion Crows and it looks like the Lapwings have now dispersed and headed to their breeding grounds along with the Snipe.
The lapwings second choice of field held about 6 Common gulls and 3 Black Headed which also will soon be moving on leaving the fields to the corvids.
Otherwise the day was eventless other than a single Grey Wagtail flying >W over the garage in between the snow showers.
