Redshank on the move.

                                        Chapel Lane

                                         Foxhill Park

Just a few pics for those of you living down in the lowlands still looking at green fields, this is what got dumped on Queensbury yesterday and overnight.
A bright day with sunny spells but a cold E>4 keeping any thaw to a minimum and a heavy freeze taking place by late afternoon.
Got a parts delivery driver to check for  the Waxwing flock below Kershaws on his way to Brighouse this p.m. and got a phone call from him sat outside the garden with negative news apart from 1 Blackbird taking the berries.
A report today of a pair of Mistle Thrush returned to his garden in Clayton and are refurbishing their nest where they have had 2 successful broods for the last 5 year with only 2 birds lost to his knowledge, 1 to a cat and 1 to a Magpie.
Just been over Foxhill dog walking and a Redshank flew overhead whilst in Foxhill park at 1930hrs and called loudly 3 times but too dark for a sighting although sounded fairly low.
Hopefully DCB may be getting a move on his listening station.
