The best Ogden could provide, 1 m Goldeneye.
Waxwings saved the morning
Started off with 9
Ended up with 40
Fly Flatts once again had to be aborted due to thick fog so it was down to the bottom edge of the cloud base at Ogden where mist and horizontal drizzle was pushed on by a W>5.
Once around the reservoir was enough with a few Great tit and Coal tit and 1 male Goldeneye on the water along with a few gulls.
Working on the report from Pauline yesterday it was down to Clayton to find the Waxwings.
Once in Victoria park 9 Waxwings came in by the village hall and after a bit of walking around and waiting ended up with 40 birds.
Poor for photos in the mist and drizzle and the birds were reluctant to come down to feed on the ample garden berries as the village hall had a function on so was busy with cars and people.
Never the less it saved the morning so thanks to Pauline for being alert and spotting them and passing on the info.
