Ad male Goldeneye
Still waters
Dipper country
With Fly Flatts deep in the fog yet again this morning it was down to Ogden just below the cloud base with dull grey skies but very calm and frosty.
Passerines were very scarce with no Goldcrests or tit flocks, just a few Coal, Great and Blue around the feeders. The 1st year male Goldeneye had left and been replaced with a cracking adult male which was very timid flying around the water with any slight disturbance . Otherwise it was the usual Mallards plus 2 Canada geese which is a bit unusual for this time of year and these left just after first light.
2 pr of Bullfinch were flitting about in the Alders and 2 Siskin flew over the visitor centre.
Raggalds flood was frozen over with just 3 BHGs and a Common gull present.
