A bright but cloudy day after a night of snow showers leaving a slight covering at one point up here at Queensbury. As now the norm, heavy rain by late afternoon and on into the evening.
Plenty Fieldfares moving about first thing this morning on the way to work, me not the birds, along with a few small squadrons of Starlings on the move >NW.
Birds of note were Meadow Pipits motoring over the garage in moving mode >S with some 200+ counted. These were either northern birds or late breeders making a last minute dash before the weather turns.
Customer Roy Morris reported Woodcocks showing around Coley which coincides with a sighting on Soil Hill today, see Queensburybirders blog.
Hope no nocturnal movers get shot down with fireworks this weekend.
Enjoy your pie and peas and plot toffee.
