Fly Flatts

A real none photographic morning with the first hour wasted due to thick fog clearing by 0730hrs leaving drizzle blown on by a strong W>6. The weather eased slightly mid morning but this was short lived before black rain clouds came across the moor from the west and the wind once again increased.
Despite the weather birding was lively with nothing special but always something to watch although 2 Great Black Backed gulls were a bonus.
The birds took off from the NE corner of the water making me think at first they were Heron due to the size and the colour as they were both juvs. I hoped for them coming down the reservoir but instead they headed off >NW.
