Queensbury Today

Unlike the poor Canada geese at Oats Royd that have had their eggs smashed and nest wrecked once again , see Queensburybirder, this family amongst others were at Fly Flatts yesterday.

A decent day with a cool WSW>4 but dry with some sunshine.
The skies now are getting that late May/ June look of emptiness with most of the movement complete other than a few late birds lagging behind so the next real start to sky movement will be the non breeders in July.
If water levels drop theres still chance for waders though at the moment most reservoirs are overflowing.
This evening 11 Swallows were feeding over trees and on the wires in the Grimston field and a nice party of 9 Swift went over >N.
