Fly Flatts mega morn.

                                        Wheatear everywhere

                              Meadow Pipit enjoying the sun
                                     Lapwing on patrol
                               Going cuckoo
Thought this was a Peregrine at first.
Proves that wind turbines dont bother birds

Fly Flatts    0630- 0945 hours  Bright, slight SE>3  Clouding and wind increase  after 0900hrs.

One of those mornings when you can smell the birds as soon as you arrive. Wheatears were everywhere with one Greenland sp. on its own at the nw corner but typically very mobile and camera shy unlike the northerns.
Common Sandpiper numbers are growing and several Canadas now have young.
A vocal Tree Pipit moved over >NW along with a distant Raven  and whilst checking the fields by the wind farm car park for  DJSs Ring Ouzels the above Cuckoo flew around mobbed by Mipits and was firstly mistaken by me for a Pere. All in all a great morning.
