Fly Flatts
6 Twite back at the seed
4 Oystercatchers in late morning
Good visibility, blue skies and sunshine. Early frost , cold NW>5. 0700-1000hrs.
Soon gave up the idea of the target birds and concentrated on getting any bird at all. Deadly quiet both on the water and in the air with not a bird of interest until 0915 when 6 Twite came in to the station but remained very flighty. Four Oystercatchers flew in just as I was returning to the car, otherwise a very poor morning.
6 Twite
4 Oystercatchers
3 Red Grouse
2 Pheasants
+ usual Mipits, Curlew and corvids etc.
Sev Canadas and Mallard.
