Bri,s bogey bird but now they,re coming in twos.

A pair of Tawny Owls in the Ivy

Hard to photograph in the foliage

Peeping out but not really bothered

                                                         Undisclosed site.

A grey damp day until just after midday when the sun finally broke through leaving a bright and mild afternoon.
Just wondering what to put on the blog tonight when a mate came to the garage mid morning with a report of 2 Tawnies in his garden at 0600hrs, first light, which was interesting enough but when he came again mid afternoon saying the birds were still there it was too much so down tools and out of the door.
He kindly ran me up home for the other camera then to his house to find the birds quite contently roosting.
They were very hard to see and even harder to photograph as they were at the fork of a trunk but the tree was covered in Ivy and the camera was trying to focus on the foliage rather than the birds.
Always a bogey bird for me, the Tawny Owl but I certainly struck gold today.
Many thanks to the garden owner concerned who I can,t name due to the sensitivity of the birds.

Otherwise in the village today there was an influx of Jackdaws with 100 + moving around the rooftops late pm but these were movers and not the usual roosting birds.
