Fly Flatts

Greylags, not common at Fly Flatts

Few Twite hanging on in there

Unusual to get summer Wheatears here.

A good supply of Common Sandpiper

Singing Reed Bunting

Fly Flatts 0700-1000hrs. Dead calm and clear blue skies to start then cloud and wind increasing by 0800hrs, SSE >3

A pleasant morning weather wise but most of the waders seem to have moved on. Common Sandpipers were down in numbers as were Redshank whilst Dunlin and Ringed Plover were absent.
Nice to get Whinchat and a Wheatear along with Twite and Reed Buntings whilst 70 + Swift fed over the water. 5 LBB gulls were on the
north shoreline but soon moved off >S down the valley.
An amazing breeding result for Canadas with shoals of young at various ages.
