Soil Hill re visited

A shot in the dark c30 Canadas over Foxhill 0730hrs
heading towards Ogden.  Just make them out over
the point of the gable end.
Opposite end of the day. Sundown from Soil Hill.
                          Soil Hill Reed Buntings ,1

                                                     and 2.

Walking to work this morning in the dark a skein of  around 30 Canada geese flew low overhead >W towards Ogden. I turned round as they went over and took a quick shot in the dark where they can just be seen heading away.

A pleasant last light visit to Soil Hill in bright clear conditions with a NNE> 4 with again plenty activity.
The 2 Stock doves were again present as well as the 2 male Reed Buntings along with the male Stonechat.
Two newcomers from yesterday were a single Skylark and a Common Snipe, both on the west summit.
Several Fieldfare were in the mast field and the Little Owl was sunning itself on a wall whilst several mixed gulls headed for the Oxenhope roost.
I walk the same route every visit which covers both summits, the mounds and the track so I can get a better idea of new birds coming or going as with the Snipe and Skylark.
The large raptor reported over Roils Head towards Queensbury must have gone down or turned >S as I was on the hill at the time and scanned over Roils Head and all the surrounding sky with no sighting.
