Another newcomer for Ogden.

                                             female Pintail

                                             Male Pintail

With all the goose and Swan movement around the Aire Valley over the last few days I thought I,d go over and check Lower Laithe and Leeshaw, BAD IDEA !!
Lower Laithe was quiet and as I approached Leeshaw, a text from Chris King of  2 Pintail at Ogden at 0800 hrs.
A quick look on a quiet Leeshaw as I turned around and headed back to Ogden where I should have gone in the first place.
The pair took a bit of finding at first as I scanned the water expecting them to be way out in the middle but luckily they were on the edge of the shore in amongst the Mallards.
The drake spent most of its time sleeping, refusing to lift its head for the camera, whilst the female was busy feeding further along in the waters edge.
Yet another amazing waterfowl species for Ogden, whatever next.
Many thanks to Chris King for the text and nice to meet them there along with DB.
