Queensbury today

Most of the young Starlings in Foxhill seem to have moved on now ready for the adult birds with their second brood.
2 pair of Robin and a Wren are breeding near the garden along with a very songful Chaffinch whilst both Woodpigeon and Collared Dove are nesting in nearby conifers.
Otherwise all quiet in the skies over the tops today and no chance of a dinner time dash with a minor disaster at work when the police rang and got me out of bed at 2300 hrs last night to say the garage had been broken into so it was down to work to knock off the alarm and nail some boards over the battered down door.
When we watched the security camera video this morning 3 scumbags in hoodies jumped out of a Subaru car, kicked the outer door down, smashed into the office and ragged all the cupboards and drawers then got out quick, empty handed, spooked by the alarm.
The stolen car turned up near Bradford but the scumbags got away to rob another day.
Hopefully some decent bird reports will transpire over the weekend.
