Fly Flatts, theres always a way + another Calderdale House Martin colony for DJS.

Peter Turner, customer, blog watcher and my Shelf early warning Pink Footed Goose alerter came in the garage today to report another Calderdale House Martin breeding colony for Daves survey on the species.
This one , holding several birds and seen under the eaves of houses is at the eastern side of the area in Cloverdale, Shelf which runs parallel between Cooper Lane and Burned Rd not far from Shelf Moor.
Thanks to Peter for that info.

Not to be outdone with the dirty little scumbags creeping around Fly Flatts like rats, my next move, rather than abandon the place is to approach Halifax Sailing club  with a view to joining as a social member other than a boat owner which takes the annual fee down from £175 per year to £40 per year so I can go through the locked gate at the top and park at the boathouse if the club are happy with this and it works out cheaper than parking at Marks and Spencers.
I already have a permit for the banking from Yorkshire Water but when I approached them about vehicle entry they did,nt want to play.
Anyway, I,m looking into it so see how it goes.
