Causeway Foot Col. p.m.

Plenty Linnets on the Ned Hill track

Lesser Black Backed through the col

                                           Ned Hill track watch point.

Arrived on the Ned Hill track at 1900 hrs with the aim of watching for anything moving through the Causeway Foot Col, target bird being Swift.
A quick check first for Angela and Garys Whitethroats but most birds gone down at this time apart from several Linnets so no joy there.
A Sparrowhawk skimmed over my head and piled into the conifers scattering Robins and Blackbirds but the Sprawk re appeared empty handed. An exciting moment but too quick for the camera.
45 minutes watch of the col failed to produce a Swift but there was plenty to see though nothing special.

All >N in the brisk S>5 wind.
