More from the 1999 vis mig archives .

With a fog bound start this morning  lasting until 0845 hrs and dark at 1900 hrs this evening a daily bloggers life is not an easy one. The blue clear skies were void of birds over Foxhill at lunch time so just to fill in, a few more pics from the Oxenhope watch point around Sept, Oct, 1999.

Howard Creber and myself during coffee break.
Top, Dave Barker and Howard Creber
Lower.  HC scoping and Mark Doveston texting
Dedicated Sherpa Barker near the end of vis mig season.
Not a rock on the horizon but DCBs ghostly head
            waiting for the light.

All is not lost yet, looking through my records for 4/10/2001 teens of thousands of Meadow Pipits over the area.
My notes from work read " I,ve never experienced as many birds over in my life".  Lets hope it happens again.
