Wildfowl movement day.

Looks like something from dog cack alley but they are
actually Teal on Ogden , 16 of em.

All taken last light out in the middle
4 Shelduck on the far west shoreline

Teals in almost dark,  1945 hrs

An east wind and cloudy skies did the trick this morning with the best vis mig watch so far this season with House Martins and Swallows coming over strong and a better count of Meadow Pipits.
Mistle Thrushes were the birds of the morning.
By late morning I was getting calls of wildfowl movement from Fly Flatts, Cold Edge Dams and Ogden with Shelduck, Wigeon and Teal, the latter being in good numbers.
See Calderbirds, Nigel Ks and Bradshaw Johns blogs for reports.
It was 1930 hrs when I finally arrived at Ogden in rapidly fading light but looking from the prom I could see 16 black dots out on the water near the north end.
I dashed on as far as I could to get some super sub standard photos in the now near dark then a dash back to the car park before I got locked in.
A final scan of the west shoreline found me the 4 Shelduck making the trip complete apart from photos.
Thanks to all for keeping me up to date during the day.
