Causeway Foot Watch point and Ogden

  I suppose you need to be religious in a plane like this.

Causeway Foot Col  1500-1630 hrs.
Soil Hill was alive with birds this p.m. with plenty thistle eating species, double figure counts of Linnet and Goldfinch.  Starling numbers are rising whilst Swallows were everywhere feeding juvs whilst airborne. 2 Wheatear were present near the mast.
A good hours sky watch west over the col towards Ogden and beyond to Ovenden wind farm produced a steady flow of big gulls all >SW and mainly very high.
11 Herring gulls came through along with LBBs and an early GBB which was soaring very high up in the clear blue sky.
Ogden 1700 hrs
A good supply of LBBgulls and the usual small gulls.
2 Cormorants were present and a record number of 45 Canadas flew in from the east settling on the water.
