Ogden pm

Few pics from a very calm Fly Flatts yesterday, not a common sight.

Not often you,ll see Fly Flatts so still

                                        First light

LBB, BHG and Common, Ogden this evening.

Despite the blue sky and sunshine I thought I,d better check the situation at Ogden 1900hrs but as expected in the conditions very little was on the move.
Around 200 mixed LBB,BHG and Commons were out on the still water,75% of which were BHGs.
Two Herring gulls headed over >W into the dazzling sun whilst a Green Woodpecker was calling from near the car park.
Swallows were moving through as well as a couple of Swift but that was about it.
A check of passerine alley failed to produce anything other than Chaffinch and none of the half expected fall of Spotted Flycatchers after DBs find of one today near Soil Hill. Well done to Daniel for that find as well as 2 Twite over.
