Old Guy Rd/Roper Lane Watchpoint/ Torrential rain

                                               Yesterday evenings moon
Plenty Starlings on the cricket pitch

Unusual place to find a Robin
                                       Juv Meadow Pipit

Across the Causeway Foot Col from Roper Lane
Late afternoon, lovely rain at last

Must have overdone the rain dance, getting worse
                                   and worse
Hope its livened the Raggalds Flood up
If this does,nt bring the waders down nothing will.
Must clean the garage troffin out.
Not Ingleton , Garage Gully Falls.

Old Guy Rd this morning held the usual Starlings along with 12 Pied Wagtails, mainly juvs and several Meadow Pipits.
Only 1 Skylark was present and unusual to see a Robin at this location.
Just time before work for a 10 minute watch on Roper Lane which produced 11 LBB gulls >NW, 3 Herring gulls >W and 115 BH gulls through the col >S. 2 Swifts headed >SW very leisurely , not be many more sighting of these this year.
By late afternoon the black skies rolled over bringing thunder and lightening with rain coming down in stair rods for about 30 minutes flooding the area. Within 10 minutes of it stopping all was dry as if nothing had happened.
Hopefully with poor weather forecast over the weekend it will stop the waders continuing on over the top of us and bring some down.
Strange how the people in the houses around the garage were watching out of their windows thinking, whys that nutter stood out in the rain taking photos of the guttering,, whatever turns you on.
