Soil Hill, last light visit

Sun going down on the hill

Nice cosy SEO roost in the long grass.

A last light visit to Soil Hill proved , as expected from NKs report, fruitless on both Snow Bunting and Twite.
A full trek around the mounds and top fields found 5 Grey Partridge and a single Skylark making it look as if the birds have moved on.
One interesting feature was findind a SEO roost hole in the long grass with droppings and pellets in the bottom.
On the way back to the road 6 Fieldfare came out of the roadside field and into the small plantation to roost.
