Soil / Ogden

                                                  Dipper around the overflow

                                       Grey Wagtail moving Dipper on.

                                             Goldcrests

                                                             Coal Tit

A late afternoon visit to Soil Hill found very little and no sign of SEO. The clear blue skies were also void of movement other than a few gulls.
Present :-  5 Grey Partridge plus usual Skylarks, Mipits, and low count of Linnet,(6).

On to Ogden
Photographed the Dipper and Grey Wag in the overflow then up to the Tree Pipit area in search of DJS s Crossbill flock from this morning. About 12 birds were present but very mobile flitting about deep in the Pine trees. All quiet by the Giants Tooth but plenty disturbance.
Round to the picnic square/pond area for the last of the sun and as usual thats where all the activity was.
A good size tit flock was in the willows and after 30 minutes standing I was surrounded with birds feeding on insects in the last of the suns rays.
Rough count was
8 Goldcrest
4 Chiffchaff
2 Willow Warbler, very yellow birds
11 Lt Tits
+ sev Blue, Great and Coal tits
1 Treecreeper.
Unfortunately no YBW.
