100 Lines, I will not leave my camera at home.

Green Lane Kestrel taken through the mist by Tracy C.
A bogey bird to take for Tracy but shes a try er.
Nice one on donating the Nyjer and peanuts to the EGP feeders Tracy.

Just typical, spent most of the weekend staring skyward, armed to the hilt with camera, bins etc hoping for Pinkies , and nothing. Had to take one of the dogs to the vets tonight for his annual jab and thought as I got in the car,my cameras in my work coat pocket, but as it was near last light and only going to Halifax it didnt matter, WRONG.
As I got out of the car up Pellon Lane 40 P.F.Geese flew straight above my head heading >E then veering >SE very high, was the air blue. Good to see them but sickening without the camera that I carry everywhere.
Thats the second time Ive been caught out up Pellon Lane camera less, the last time was a White Stork, one thing for sure, there wont be a third time.
Other news,
This morning movement started well with Meadow Pipits, Alba Wagtails and Woodpigeons all moving in decent numbers until the mist closed in and remained most of the day.
At midday 2 Coal Tits were around the garden and another 6 in the edge of Foxhill park, a sure sign of movement for a bird rarely seen in this area.
I,ll sign off now and start writing my hundred lines.
