A very snowy Ogden

Best pics I could come up with, Mallards in the snow.

                                Two Canada geese coming in.

1500 hrs and a pleasant winter walk around the perimeter of the water at Ogden with heavy snow throughout on a light NE.
Birds were, as expected, thin on the ground in the conditions with just Mallards and 2 Canada geese on the water along with around 75 small gulls and 1 first winter Herring.
No sign of the Tit flock but several individuals with Great, Blue and Coal but no sign of Long Tailed Tit. Several Robins, looking very continental , as well as our own very red and tame type lined the track along with Wrens and Dunnocks whilst 4 Siskin were in the usual Alders but no sign of Redpoll and way too dark in the trees for photos even with the 300mm Id thrown round my neck instead of dragging Big Bertha around in the snow.
The feeders at the lodge house held the usual Tits as well as 2 Nuthatch whilst the feeders at the info centre held Tits, Robins and Dunnocks.
On the way back Syke Lane fields held 8 Lapwing and around 12 Fieldfare.
