Christmas at Fly Flatts

           Christmas morning sunrise

                                 Kestrel in the early sunrise

Looking back from the NW corner

Christmas Morning  0800-0930 hrs.
A re run of yesterday weather wise with a bright sunrise soon to be blanked out with the cloud and heavy drizzle appearing by 0900 hrs on a near gale force SW>6 gusting 7.
Again nothing on the water which looked more like the North Sea with high waves and white horses lashing the east shore.
Quiet on the bird scene with just 5 Herring gulls over >W as well as 3 Mistle Thrush whilst 9 Golden Plover dropped down onto the flat moor near Slade.
Again quite a few Red Grouse were vocal over the moor and a pair of Stonechat were by the feeding station.
