Gull watch, Ogden/Pit Lane/ Raggalds Flood

                         Plenty LBBs at Ogden

                 More Commons coming in.
Herring gull sp. Not the Oxenhope YL

Common gull numbers rising, Pit Lane
Commons are getting their autumn head streaks

With limited time today I paid Ogden a visit to check the gull situation with hopes of picking up yesterdays Kittiwake but no joy. Wish I,d been there earlier when NK clocked an Osprey over.
Around 150 Black Headed, 26 Lesser Black Backed and 9 Commons along with 1 Herring gull on the water but could,nt say as to whether it was a YL or not but it was nt the Oxenhope bird as this had head streaking.
Otherwise it was down to 3 Cormorant and an increasing number of Mallard.
Three checks of Raggalds Flood found, in contrast to yesterday, not a bird of any description there whilst Pit Lane held 28 Common gulls and a few Black Headed. Could be a good reservoir day tomorrow after the promised gales subside.
