Raggalds Flood/ Leeshaw Reservoir

    Unusual to get the chance to see displaying Dippers

            The male was singing its heart out.

            Always Cormorant present

                            Kestrel on the hunt

                        1st returning Common Sandpiper, Leeshaw

A dull start to the morning then brightening slightly before light rain moving over. Much calmer.

0745 hrs  2 Lapwing , 2 Mallard  BS
0945 hrs  1 Lapwing,  1 Swallow  DW, BS.  Good to meet Dave there.
The Redshanks seem to return mid afternoon and evening but no signs yet of yesterdays
   2 Little Ringed and 1 Ringed Plover.

Leeshaw reservoir
 A more spring like morning with the cold wind gone but still dark skies and damp.
Several Swallows were over the water as well as House Martins whilst Linnets were beginning to show.
Displaying Dippers were a sight I,ve never experienced and good to get 2 returning Common Sandpipers.
