Soil Hill and day of the Common gull

A good count of Common gulls moving through.
                       Still wearing winter head gear.

Soil Hill 1500 hrs. strong SW>5 with mixed blue skies and sunshine and banks of mist swirling round.
9 Skylark on the 2 nyjer feeding areas and the female Reed Bunting briefly on the mounds. c200 Lapwings down on the Shay but no Goldies with them, just Starlings and Carrion Crows.
The usual 2 Grey Partridge were at the top of the tree line whilst the Heron was at the bottom not far from the NK pond.
2 Kestrels hovered over the Ned Hill track which has been a bit of a rare sight lately.
Common gulls have been the bird of the day with a steady passage throughout all >NW with 52 settling in Foxhill park for a while over lunch time and around 40 in fields surrounding Soil Hill.
