Restoring my faith in local birding!

With 1 hour to spare this evening a check of the weather found it clammy, still and humid which is no good for Tern movement but an ideal night for Owls.
With Long Eared Owl in mind I set off around the known local hotspots and after a lot of scrambling about and searching , up popped the prize. Its not a good idea to be knelt in nettles and brambles up to your shoulders whilst trying to support a half a ton camera but the rewards  were worth it, or will be when the stinging stops.

Local birding dont get better than this.
