During the breeding season no rare or scarce breeding birds will be mentioned on the blog as well as images if in any way I believe it to put the species in jeopardy of breeding or assist anyone to the finding of a nest sight.
No wildlife including Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned throughout the year due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.
Fly over birds and movers will be reported as usual.

Woodpigs in, Fieldfare out.

Resident Woodpigeon which sits behind the garage
waiting to be fed all day.

Another spring like day throughout with more signs of movement over Queensbury.
Woodpigeons were over in good numbers first light until around 0830 hrs with at least 150 counted coming in very high and >NW.
Forming a summer winter cross over were Fieldfares moving out with 2 flocks of 28 and 39 very high and >N heading back to their breeding grounds.
Fieldfare have been in short supply this winter with Redwing outnumbering them .
Perfect conditions for moving Pinkies today but only 1 report of 41 >N over Jumble Hole, Calderbirds, but I,m sure there are plenty to come yet.

I tried hard for 'pinks' this morning at Shibden Head Corporal lane area but nothing in the sky even though it was so clear. A few Whoopers would be nice as would a Crane !!!!
