Golden Plovers hit Queensbury

A bit of light at the end of the tunnel today with a text from DW reporting a mixed flock of Lapwing and Golden Plover in fields between the Raggalds Flood and Sandal Farm. I,ve been checking the nearby Lapwing flock of around 130 on the Pit Lane football pitch but so far no Goldies, so hopefully they will hang around together whilst the cold spell is on.
I,d intended to check that area at lunch time today but a dental check up which ran about half an hour late put the kibosh on that.
Hopefully I,ll be able to do a dinnertime dash tomorrow.
The skies were much livelier today in the cold N>5 but only the usual small gulls etc. The clear frosty nights will surely bring something in for the weekend.
Thanks to Dave W for the text, well spotted.
