Reservoirs in the rain

              Cormorants at every water
    Plenty Mistle Thrush at Leeshaw

                  Lower Laithe quiet.

With fog first light at Fly Flatts, as usual, it was down to Leeshaw where it was grey and damp deteriorating by 0845 hrs when the SW wind increased bringing black clouds from the west making it dark as night and by 0900 hrs the heavens had opened with hail and heavy rain throughout.
A very disappointing morning around the local reservoirs and the only sign of movement was several squadrons of Starlings migrating >NW.
Definitely not a photographic morning.

Glad to see you got some birds on the seed. I will be topping it up this week ready for a cold spell - whenever we get one.

Thanks Dave, Snow Bunt next. Some scumbag had tipped a truck load of rubbish by the feeding area but the Mipits did,nt seem to mind.

Would,nt mind the weather if the birds appear John, Leeshaw just has,nt been on form this year yet.
