Soil Hill Sky watch, Is it really September ????

1 hours sky watch from Soil Hill at 1530 hrs over the Causeway Foot Col produced absolutely nothing even though the sky now had 80 % cloud cover and a cool SE>4.
Plenty Goldfinch on the hill as well as 4 Skylark but otherwise nothing apart from a few gulls dropping in to Oxenhope.
This has got to be the worst September on record vis mig wise at a time now when Mipits should be pouring through. Hopefully its the mild weather holding them back building up to come through on mass within the next couple of weeks. So far on Trektellen everyones in the same boat so we can,t blame this area.
A couple of weeks now and we can start watching for skeins of Pink Footed geese over, my first last year were on 21/09/14 but the main come through in October.
Also the first Fieldfare and Redwing started showing at the end of Sept last year.
Hang on in there, it can only get better.
