Ogden and Visible Migration

                                       Juv Gt Crested Grebe

Plenty squabbling amongst the juv LBB gulls

                       A better evening for LBBs

An after work check on Ogden found it more like Blackpool front with scores of people there even at 1900 hrs.
A decent number of Lesser Black Backs were present with 18, several of which were juvs along with around 60 Black Headeds.
The water held the usual 3 Gt Crested Grebes and the drake Tufted as well as 9 Canadas and the Mallards.
A Green Woodpecker caught me by surprise when I arrived as it flew over my head and out of sight by the info centre then a second bird was calling from deep inside the trees around the lodge house.
this is my first Woodpecker species this year.
Swifts were moving >S as were Swallows showing some signs of vis mig.
