Third time lucky

                          Short Eared Owl
                      With an unlucky vole.

                                                  Kestrel

With 2 poor sessions today and some spare time this evening I combined the dog walk with a last attempt of something half decent so it was off in the car and head for the highlands where it was clear and dry with a stiff  WSW>5 blowing.
After a bit of trekking over the moor I came across my target bird, Short Eared Owl.
The views were very distant but good to see this species which has declined from our area over the last few years.
Its always good to finish on a good note, lets see what tomorrow brings.
