Queensbury Today

A damp miserable start then brightening up to leave a clear sunny afternoon and evening.
No repeat of yesterdays gull move with quiet skies over lunch time but several Swallows heading >N over Foxhill this evening though despite some sky watching no sign of Swift but I,m sure they,ll be on us by the weekend.
HC did a check on the Dailies this morning whilst I looked at his car and reported several Swallows and House Martins as well as Willow Warbler.
A report from a neighbour today telling of a Blackbird with a white head in the Deanstones Lane area of Queensbury, possibly the Shelf Moor bird ?
A nice find by DJS today with a Turnstone briefly at Fly Flatts. The last spring Turnstone I had there was 27th May 2006 although I,ve had 3 autumn birds there since then, well spotted Dave.
